EBL district heating
EBL Fernwärme AG has secured CHF 49 million in equity capital since 2012. An investment volume of CHF 83 million had been realised by the end of 2021 through the use of debt capital.

EBL Fernwärme AG was founded in collaboration with a partner. The company has holdings in six heating networks in Switzerland that supply hundreds of households with renewable heat based on wood chip combustion.
Today, EBL Fernwärme AG is owned by EBL (Genossenschaft Elektra Baselland) and six other institutional investors seeking long-term investments. EBL continues to ensure the operational management of the heating plants.
The stability of the business case is ensured by long-term purchase agreements with end customers and long-term supply agreements with suppliers. The diversification of the portfolio across six different district heating plants and municipalities, as well as hundreds of heating consumers, provides additional stability.
